[The Source Podcast] Making it REAL: for our Partners

first_imgDuring the 2018 Global Partner Summit Keynote, our commitment to the channel was clear. Make it easier for our partners to do business with Dell Technologies is Priority #1.Part of that includes powerful new marketing tools, trainings and materials, created with you—our partners—in mind and based entirely on your feedback, as announced here on Direct2DellEMC by Cheryl Cook.“In today’s fast-changing world, your customers know they need to embrace Digital Transformation and evolve to stay competitive—it’s not a question of if, but when. IT Transformation is a key enabler of wider Digital Transformation,” Cook said. “And as Dell EMC partners with access to solutions across the Dell Technologies family, you are uniquely positioned to guide your customers through this transformation and become their “go-to” technology consultant.”One of the latest of those solutions partners can access is the new Dell EMC IDPA DP4400 which earned us a spot on CRN’s “5 Companies That Came To Win This Week” list, where they noted that nothing is being allowed to distract us “from delivering innovative products to its channel partners and customers.”Making our commitment to be easier to do business with real, however, often falls to the operations team behind the scenes, and they are all over that commitment.Darren Sullivan, senior vice president Global Partner Strategy and Business Operations, and Stephanie Mims, vice president Channel Operations are leading the way. Sullivan is a business transformation professional with a 25-year track record, and Mims is a seasoned executive with more than 20 years experience in strategic and operational line roles. They joined me in the Global Partner lounge at Dell Technologies World 2018 with some updates on what is happening, and how their four focus areas all tie to our #1 priority “Make it easier for our partners to do business with Dell Technologies.”Get Dell EMC The Source app in the Apple App Store or Google Play, and Subscribe to the podcast: iTunes, Stitcher Radio or Google Play.Dell EMC The Source Podcast is hosted by Sam Marraccini (@SamMarraccini)last_img read more

Substation undergoes preventive maintenance; MORE upgrades broken, old PECO facilities

first_imgILOILO City – MORE Electric and Power Corp. (MORE Power) completed its comprehensive preventive maintenance of the Jaro substation yesterday an hour early than the expected 13-hour long task. There was a need to do comprehensive maintenance work on the Jaro substation, according to MORE Power, because the load of the substation’s 10MVA transformer was already on critical level. Several netizens acknowledged MORE Power’s prompt maintenance service. Facebook user Bien Anatan said, “Thank you for a job well done and MORE Power to the Ilonggos. God bless to everyone including those who are forever opposed and are everlasting critics of MORE Power. May MORE Power continue to provide you with excellent service to shut your mouth.” The previous distribution utility, Panay Electric Co. (PECO), did not do any preventive maintenance work on the substation for almost eight years, according to MORE Power. MORE Power took the task of fixing and upgrading all of the former distribution utility’s obsolete, broken, aging, and unmaintained facilities. In the past two months that MORE Power came into operation as Iloilo City’s legitimate power firm, it has already made significant improvements and repairs on the metropolis’ electric distribution facilities. Preventive maintenance should have been conducted every two years, said MORE Power’s technical experts. Unfortunately, PECO neglected to do maintenance and upgrading works which resulted in dilapidated facilities that MORE Power inherited, they said. From Feb. 29 to April 29 MORE Power has, among its other accomplishments, upgraded 51 distribution transformers, replaced 51 broken electric poles and fixed 97 hotspot connectors./PN The scheduled power interruption started at 4 a.m. It ended at 3:43 p.m. On the other hand, Jennie Pardilla expressed, “Earlier than expected. Kudos!” Following continuous assessment and inspection, MORE Power has now a benchmark of the expected lifespan of the facilities and has prepared the upgrading of their capacities. For her part, Jazy Borja stated, “Good job, MORE. Continue the excellent service. Dasig! I thought it’ll be at 5 p.m. that they will restore the power connection here in Sambag, Jaro. Pero 3:45 p.m. pa lang nagbalik na!”last_img read more
