Mike Gundy on being clutch“I don’t know if I’ve ever been around a team, I’m sure I haven’t, that’s been as effective that this one has been on third downs.” (Oklahoman)Jordan Sterns on his favorite play (the game-sealing pick)“It’s probably my favorite play of mine so far, personally. Just because it’s been about 20 games and I’ve come close to a bunch of interceptions and I dropped them. I finally came up with one tonight … I was smiling. I felt like I was back in little league when I scored my first touchdown.” (Oklahoman)Gundy on TV“I’m sure TV loves us. It’s a good win by the team. As we all know, coming up here and playing is never really easy.” (AP)J.W. Walsh on being relentless“You don’t win without having some maturity and a relentless football team and we’ve been able to attain those things very well. There was not a doubt in anyone’s mind. You could see it in everybody’s eyes.” (AP)Gundy with some truth“Those [losses] never go away as a coach. Down 10 in the fourth quarter, crossed my mind.” (ESPN)Walsh on Rudolph (this is awesome)“I walked up to Mason [before the fourth quarter] on the sideline and told him, ‘You do you.’ He’s shown that when it’s crunch time, he makes plays — every time.” (ESPN)David Glidden on the year“This is — I don’t want to say a dream season yet. Hopefully we can look back at the end and say that it was.” (ESPN)Mike Gundy on that first half“I said this all week long. I said it again last night, I said it again today, I said it in the locker room, [and] I said it before we left the hotel, you’re challenge this week is to come out with as much fire in your stomach as you did last week, and we didn’t. And that’s all we talked about. I just don’t understand why. We were just kinda flat.” (Go Pokes)Gundy on the false start“I thought, ‘That’s the best break we’ve got all day.’ We finally got a break. Somebody was kind of looking over us, and then, to convert.” (Tulsa World)Walsh summing it up for all of us“That’s crazy. Our team is unbelievable. It’s not just the leaders who say, ‘Hey, we’ve got a chance. We’re in this thing.’ It’s everybody. The whole team believes.” (Tulsa World)Paul Rhoads with some truth“Plenty of fight in our kids, and they showed it against a team ranked fifth in the country, (that) now sits 10-0 and has an opportunity to finish up to play in the playoffs and play for a national championship.” (Tulsa World)If you’re looking for the comments section, it has moved to our forum, The Chamber. New Delhi: A woman from Uzbekistan alleged that she was beaten up and raped by some persons in South West Delhi’s Vasant Kunj area. Police on Monday said that they have registered a case on the woman’s complaint and the investigation is going on in the case. Police said that no arrest has been made in the case so far. An investigator said they are verifying various facts whether the suspects in the case were known to her. “Efforts are going on to nab the accused in the case,” police said. Recently, a 21-year-old girl had alleged that she was drugged and raped by a cab driver while she was returning from her friend’s house on Friday night. The woman told the police that she had taken the cab from the Mandir Marg area and the cab driver drove for around three hours after raping her.
Following the disappointment of the loss to Huddersfield, Justin Holbrook expects his side to play a lot better in the clash following a ‘normal week’ in terms of preparation.“After the semi-final it was hard for us to get up for it and the players were doing it tough too,” he said. “In hindsight, had we won on Sunday I would have given a rest to some of the players who were tired.“I would never rest players for no reason but there were some signs of fatigue there. We felt the best way to feel better after the cup loss would be to get a win, but we fell just short.“It was probably our worst performance of the year but with good reason. It was disappointing not to be good enough and I know people are now questioning if we are good enough. We want to win every week and want to play well but Friday had a lot to do with Sunday, that’s for sure.“This week feels like a normal week in terms of preparation. Wakefield have always been thereabouts this season and I can’t remember them being beaten easily at all. They are a big side and it is a tough place to go. We know we are in for a tough game.“We know we need to control the ball better though. When you make errors and hand the ball over it makes you look like a different team. If we control it better, then we will start to get back to playing the way we were.”Saints will head into Thursday’s match missing Adam Swift and Ryan Morgan – but on the plus side Regan Grace looks set to return.“Adam has hurt his shoulder again, but the medical staff think it will only be a three-week injury,” Justin added. “Regan will be right to come back after his caulk which is good. Ryan Morgan has had a lot of head knocks so we are giving him a few weeks off. He will see a specialist next week and we will go from there.”Saints could also be without in-form forward Luke Thompson too after he was handed a one-match penalty notice for ‘Other Contrary Behaviour’ after the loss to Huddersfield. The incident occurred when the forward scored his fifth try of the season and in celebration, threw the ball forward.Holbrook said: “We will have a look at the incident. I know the RFL are trying to crack down on throwing the ball in the crowd and things like that, but he didn’t do that.“He scored a try, threw the ball down and it hit the in-goal judge’s leg. It was obviously accidental and done in excitement. We will have a look at it.”Tickets for Thursday’s game remain on sale from the Ticket Office, by calling 01744 455 050 or online here.2018 Members can also take advantage of FREE coach travel by contacting the Ticket Office whilst non-Members can access it for just £5.
