first_imgZane McHenryby Tracy McCue, Sumner Newscow — Zane McHenry, 27, of Wellington has been charged with eluding law enforcement, a felony; driving while suspended, a misdemeanor; possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor after a car chase in Wellington that occurred in March.According to a Sumner County Court Docket complaint, McHenry was driving a 2005 Ford Mustang on Saturday morning, March 23, around 1:30 a.m. on the 600 block of North F.As the Wellington Police officers arrived, they noticed a blue mustang departing the area at a high rate of speed. The officers pursued the vehicle west of 12th Street, where it failed to negotiate the intersection at Poplar Street, striking the westside curbing.WPD officers observed the adult male exiting the vehicle and running from the road.Officers later learned that this vehicle and tag was stolen out of Wichita.Later in the morning, McHenry was located and taken into custody without incident.
