PAOK put the game to rest as early as the 5th minute, when Rodrigues’ pressure forced a mistake from Dinamo’s backline, and his one-two with Pererya set him up for the opening goal of the game. The goal took any pressure that was on PAOK as the hosts had complete control of the game. At the end of the first half, PAOK was awarded a penalty but Djalmo Campos was unable to give PAOK the 2-0 lead from the spot. However, from the resulting corner Tzavellas doubled PAOK’s lead with a close-ranged header late in the first half.The second half was played out with minimal chances as the best opportunity fell to Pererya, who was unable to convert one-on-one with the opposing keeper. Varela came close to a goal in his debut with PAOK, but his effort did not find the target late in the game. The final whistle came with PAOK comfortably securing their place in the Europa League Group Stage.PAOK will play in the Europa League Group stage for yet another season.
