first_imgJasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the T20I and ODI series against England after breaking a finger in Ireland. India were in Dublin for a two-match T20I series which they won 2-0.Bumrah played the first match but was rested for the second as India called up Umesh Yadav and Siddharth Kaul. The 24-year-old Bumrah is the No.1 ODI bowler in the world and his absence will be a huge blow for India, who will be up against in-form English batsmen on flat pitches.Recently, England broke their own record for the highest ODI total when they hammered 481 against Australia.Bumrah, who has played 37 ODIs and 35 T20Is since his international debut in 2016, made his Test debut on the tour of South Africa earlier this year. He made an immediate impression and finished the three-match series with 14 wickets including a five-wicket haul.It is understood India will call up either Shardul Thakur or Deepak Chahar as Bumrah’s replacement for the limited-overs phase in England.Meanwhile, it is believed Bumrah will be fit in time for the Test series in England starting from August 1.last_img
