Earlier this year, the Korean electronics giant launched its premium flagship devices – the LG G8 ThinQ and the LG V50 ThinQ – the the MWC 2019 in Barcelona. And while the launch of its first 5G phone, V50 ThinQ, has been delayed in Korea, the tech giant has introduced a new smartphone – the LG X4 (2019) – in its home country for 297,000 won (Rs 18,100 approx).The budget LG X4 (2019) is the successor to the LG X4 that was launched in March last year with Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 system-on-chip in the core and Android 7.1.2 Nougat running on board. The LG X4 that was launched last year also featured a bunch of other features such as the LG Pay, LTE connectivity and a 3,000mAh battery.The LG X4 (2019) that was announced recently, on the other hand, comes with 5.7-inch HD display and it measures 153×71.9×8.3mm and weighs 145g. The newly launched budget smartphone is powered by Mediatek Helio P22 MT6762 SoC processor and it will ship with dated Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box instead of Google’s latest mobile operating system, Android 9.0 Pie. Unlike last year’s X4, which came with 2GB RAM and 16GB memory, the newly launched smartphone sports 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage.The device, apart from being upgraded in terms of the software and storage, has also been updated in terms of camera. While the last year’s model came with a 5MP front camera and an 8MP rear camera, the X4 (2019) sports an 8MP camera in the front and a 16MP camera with phase-detection auto focus at the back.advertisementIn addition to this, the phone also comes with some of LG’s other audio technologies such as hi-fi quad DAC for a high resolution sound, DTS:X technology with support up to 7.1 channels of stereoscopic sound. The phone also features support for an AI camera, time helper, which as the company says flashes the flash when the timer is set and LG Pay.The LG X4 (2019) comes with 3,000mAh battery, which the same as the one that was present in the last year’s device and it features MIL-STD 810G military grade certification.
