But that may be difficult without one of their better players in the secondary.Head coach Jimbo Fisher has announced one of the team’s starting cornerbacks will sit out this weekend as part of a two-game suspension.Renfro missed the season opener because of a violation of team rules. The Aggies’ game against Clemson will finish out the cornerback’s two-game suspension.“[Debione] Renfro will not play this game,” Fisher said, via Twitter. “He will be suspended one more game.”The junior corner had 54 total tackles in 2017 to go along with five passes defended and four forced fumbles. Those numbers declined in 2018 as Renfro had 37 total tackles and five passes defended. The Aggies’ defense held Texas State scoreless until 36 seconds remaining in the game.On the offensive side of the ball, quarterback Kellen Mond went 19-for-27 passing for 194 yards and three touchdowns.The Aggies also had two 100-yard rushers in Isaiah Spiller (seven carries for 106 yards) and Jashaun Corbin (22 carries for 103 yards).Many remember Texas A&M’s near-upset of Clemson in 2018. It was Mond’s first big game of his career as he threw for 430 yards and three touchdowns.The Aggies scored in the final minute, but couldn’t convert a two-point conversion.
